- Store and secure your medications in a place where others cannot access them. Use a lock bag, lock box or a locked drawer.
- Never take medications that are not prescribed to you. Never share your prescriptions with others.
- Use a medication inventory to track you and your family’s use of medication.
- Take your medications only as directed. Download and use the Medicine Inventory. Mistakes or misuse can cause health problems.
- Properly and safely dispose of your medications at a local take back program. Find out locations and more at the Med-Project.
